ABOUT THE TALENT

His sire, Colestus, already collected a series of top 10 places in 5* competitions at the age of eight, with Marco Kutscher and subsequently Ludger Beerbaum  in the saddle. Later, Christian Kukuk wrote a sequel to the unique success story of this son of top progenitor Cornet Obolensky. Colestus has performed at the very highest level worldwide for years, which not only underscores his showjumping qualities, but also speaks volumes about his health and toughness. Meanwhile, he is also proving himself as a sire of excellent showjumpers. Just think of Greya (multiple 5* GP winner, Kent Farrington), Chuck Marienshof Z (winner of the 5* GCT/GCL 1m60 classes in Madrid and Shanghai, Gilles Thomas) and Colestus Cambridge (who competed in the Olympic Games in Paris at the age of nine, Katharina Rhomberg).

Crown-K’s damline is also particularly interesting and valuable. His dam, Julia VD Donkhoeve, previously produced Impress-K van ’t Kattenheye Z, with whom Thibeau Spits won team gold at the European Championship in La Coruña and claimed victory in the 5* GPs in Riesenbeck and Fontainebleau. Julia is a granddaughter of the famous 5* Grand Prix and Nations Cup mare Utopia van de Donkhoeve, in turn dam of the outstanding 5* showjumpers Allegro and Farao van de Donkhoeve. Don Juan van de Donkhoeve, with whom Jessica Springsteen won team silver at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, also belongs to this BWP lineage 61.
